Britannia Ind. Q4 net profit down 5.02% at Rs 530.15 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 530.15 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2024 as compared to Rs 558.16 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 5.02 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose marginally by 2.77 per cent at Rs 3,862.93 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 3,758.70 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 1.74 per cent to Rs 3,153.85 crore from Rs 3,100.04 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 3.63 per cent at Rs 55.16 crore versus (Mar'23 Rs 53.23 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 3.06 per cent to Rs 770.39 crore as against Rs 794.69 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 5.68 per cent in March quarter.

Interest declined by 12.67 per cent y-o-y to Rs 25.84 crore, while Taxation decreased by 2.86 per cent at Rs 196.86 crore (Mar'23 Rs 202.66 crore).
