Cipla Q1 net profit up 17.98% at Rs 1055.94 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 1,055.94 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2024 as compared to Rs 895.02 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 17.98 per cent.

Net revenue of the company declined marginally by 2.73 per cent at Rs 3,752.25 crore in April-June quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 3,857.73 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During April-June quarter, operating expenses increased by 0.89 per cent to Rs 3,141.19 crore from Rs 3,113.50 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 35.16 per cent at Rs 213.52 crore versus (Jun'23 Rs 157.98 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 12.88 per cent to Rs 1,359.86 crore as against Rs 1,204.69 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 16.04 per cent in June quarter.

Interest grew by 1535.48 per cent y-o-y to Rs 5.07 crore, while Taxation increased by 13.01 per cent at Rs 374.51 crore (Jun'23 Rs 331.39 crore).
