Vedanta Q4 net profit down 99.27% at Rs 109.00 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 109.00 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2024 as compared to Rs 14872.00 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 99.27 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose marginally by 3.05 per cent at Rs 17,461.00 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 16,944.00 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During January-March quarter, operating expenses dropped by 0.99 per cent to Rs 14,458.00 crore from Rs 14,603.00 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 98.29 per cent at Rs 185.00 crore versus (Mar'23 Rs 10,806.00 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 21.54 per cent to Rs 3,323.00 crore as against Rs 2,734.00 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 17.91 per cent in March quarter.

Interest grew by 20.28 per cent y-o-y to Rs 1,530.00 crore, while Taxation increased by 244.74 per cent at Rs 55.00 crore (Mar'23 Rs -38.00 crore).
