Shipping Corpn. Q3 net profit down 50.93% at Rs 64.80 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 64.80 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2024 as compared to Rs 132.05 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 50.93 per cent.

Net revenue of the company declined marginally by 2.80 per cent at Rs 1,302.97 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,340.53 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During October-December quarter, operating expenses increased by 2.36 per cent to Rs 945.12 crore from Rs 923.37 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 53.02 per cent at Rs 34.17 crore versus (Dec'23 Rs 22.33 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 14.22 per cent to Rs 357.85 crore as against Rs 417.16 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 11.76 per cent in December quarter.

Interest grew by 60.78 per cent y-o-y to Rs 63.91 crore, while Taxation decreased by 50.66 per cent at Rs 8.21 crore (Dec'23 Rs 16.64 crore).
