MTNL posts Q3 net loss of Rs 836.05 cr

The company reported standalone net loss during the quarter stood at Rs 836.05 crore as compared to net loss of Rs 841.79 crore in the previous year quarter.

Net revenue of the company declined moderately by 12.41 per cent at Rs 148.25 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 169.26 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During October-December quarter, operating expenses dropped by 6.53 per cent to Rs 279.64 crore from Rs 299.18 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 19.45 per cent at Rs 169.81 crore versus (Dec'23 Rs 142.16 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 1.13 per cent to Rs -131.39 crore as against Rs -129.92 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 15.46 per cent in December quarter.

Interest grew by 5.38 per cent y-o-y to Rs 727.67 crore
