New?Delhi,?July?8?2025 — The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has prolonged the operational restrictions placed on Ramgarhia Co-operative Bank Limited, New?Delhi, for an additional three months. The curbs, first imposed on 7?July?2022 under Section?35A read with Section?56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, were due to lapse at the close of business today but will now remain in force until 8?October?2025, subject to further review.
The central bank said the extension is “in the public interest” and does not signify that it is satisfied with the lender’s financial health. All other terms and conditions of the original directive remain unchanged as the regulator continues to monitor the bank’s position.
