Geon Enters Home Backup Market with Advanced Inverter Battery Range, Marking Kabra Extrusiontechnik’s B2C Foray

Geon (formerly Battrixx), the future technologies division of Kabra Extrusiontechnik Ltd., has launched a new line of high-efficiency lithium-ion inverter batteries, marking its entry into the home power backup market. This move expands Geon’s portfolio of advanced energy solutions to meet the rising demand for reliable residential backup systems.

The launch also represents Kabra Extrusiontechnik’s first direct entry into the business-to-consumer (B2C) segment in its 60-year history, signalling a strategic shift toward consumer-focused growth.

Anand Kabra, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Kabra Extrusiontechnik Ltd., stated, “Our foray into the B2C space is a strategic step to fuel Geon’s growth and expand our presence in the rapidly evolving battery industry. With strong R&D and supply chain capabilities, this transition aligns with our long-term vision.”

He added that the newly launched lithium-ion inverter batteries are designed to address the increasing need for efficient and eco-friendly home backup systems, particularly in regions prone to frequent power outages. These batteries are lightweight, fast-charging, long-lasting, and require minimal maintenance, ultimately lowering energy costs for end users.

As lithium technology becomes more cost-effective, Geon’s new solutions aim to provide smart, safe, and future-ready energy storage options that empower households and small businesses across India.
