Desco Infratech Limited has officially announced its entry into the Power and Transmission Infrastructure sector, marking a major milestone in the company’s growth and diversification journey. This strategic move aligns with the company’s long-term vision of contributing to India’s infrastructure development and builds on its proven expertise in the gas pipeline and utility sectors.
As part of this new venture, Desco Infratech will undertake engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of transmission lines and substations, installation of HT/LT underground and overhead power cables, as well as urban and industrial electrical infrastructure projects and related services. The company aims to play a crucial role in strengthening India’s national grid infrastructure by delivering critical power infrastructure solutions across the country.
In a strong start to this new segment, Desco Infratech has received a work order worth Rs 2.37 crore (Rs 37,08,862 inclusive of GST) from KP Group, comprising KPI Green Energy Limited, KPIG Energia Pvt. Ltd., and Sundrops Energia Private Limited. The project involves DP installation work in Gujarat and has been classified as a domestic contract, with terms and execution timeline as per the contract agreement.
The company has clarified that this order does not involve any related party transactions, and there is no interest from the promoter or promoter group in the awarding entities.
This development not only reflects the market’s confidence in Desco Infratech’s capabilities, but also enhances its overall value proposition in the infrastructure sector. The company views this expansion as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to India’s energy ecosystem, helping deliver power—and with it, opportunity—to communities nationwide.
