Sensex up 326 points amid fresh buying

Indian benchmark indices continued to gain strength during the noon trading session supported by buying in index heavyweights including Bajaj Finserv Ltd, Axis Bank Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Bajaj Finance Ltd. ICICI Bank Ltd. among others.



At 14:35 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 74155.24 up by 326.33 points or by 0.44 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22510.25 up by 113.05 points or by 0.5 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 74376.35 and intraday low of 73796.06 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22577 and intraday low of 22353.15



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1875.45,+3.79%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1038.80,+2.84%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 2704.55,+2.31%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 8585.35,+1.97%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1271.00,+1.66%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2212.55,-0.82%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 408.75,-0.75%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2176.00,-0.72%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1240.35,-0.57%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3498.50,-0.39%), among others.



HCS index was at 39716.4 up by 420.97 points or by 1.07%. Hester Biosciences Ltd. (Rs. 1421.90,+5.41%), Blue Jet Healthcare Ltd (Rs. 885.20,+5.00%), Aarti Pharmalabs Ltd. (Rs. 774.85,+4.74%), Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Ltd. (Rs. 596.95,+4.74%), Gujarat Themis Biosyn Ltd. (Rs. 257.75,+4.71%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4408 , shares advanced were 1801 while 2444 shares declined and 163 were unchanged.
