Post-Session: Sensex rises 341 points, Nifty reclaims 22,500 amid financial stock rally

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 closed higher on Monday, driven by continued buying interest in financial, healthcare, and select metal stocks.



The 30-share benchmark index ended at 74169.95 up by 341.04 points or by 0.46 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22508.75 up by 111.55 points or by 0.5 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 74376.35 and intraday low of 73796.06 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22577 and intraday low of 22353.15



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1871.85,+3.59%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 2707.00,+2.41%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1033.95,+2.36%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 8580.00,+1.91%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1137.20,+1.63%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were ITC Ltd. (Rs. 407.80,-0.98%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2175.30,-0.76%), State Bank of India (Rs. 722.70,-0.69%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1240.40,-0.56%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2219.80,-0.50%), among others.



_HCS index was at 39733.91 up by 438.48 points or by 1.12%. Vijaya Diagnostic Centre Ltd. (Rs. 1072.00,+5.88%), Blue Jet Healthcare Ltd (Rs. 885.20,+5.00%), Aarti Pharmalabs Ltd.
