Sensex and Nifty trade higher amid positive global cues

Indian benchmark indices, BSE Sensex and Nifty50, were trading in the green on Wednesday, buoyed by optimistic global market trends.



Investor focus is also shifting to upcoming fourth-quarter earnings from key companies such as LTIMindtree, 360 One WAM, and Dalmia Bharat. Additionally, market participants are closely watching the Flash Manufacturing and Services PMI data for April, which could provide further insights into economic momentum.



At 10:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 79721.43 up by 125.84 points or by 0.16 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24230.55 up by 63.3 points or by 0.26 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 80254.55 and intraday low of 79687.92 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24359.3 and intraday low of 24189.55



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1582.35,+6.91%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1431.60,+4.07%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1473.25,+3.57%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 646.25,+2.42%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 2875.85,+2.08%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1934.10,-1.42%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2243.40,-1.07%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1204.55,-1.03%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 235.05,-1.01%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1221.25,-0.92%), among others.



IT index was at 34587.63 up by 1083.85 points or by 3.24%. HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1582.35,+6.91%), Latent View Analytics Ltd. (Rs. 415.00,+5.83%), Coforge Ltd. (Rs. 7285.00,+4.75%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1431.60,+4.07%), Cigniti Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1333.55,+3.92%),.



CDS index was at 57974.86 down by -762.07 points or by -1.3%. Voltas Ltd. (Rs. 1297.25,-3.53%), Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. (Rs. 340.90,-3.50%), Havells India Ltd. (Rs. 1607.55,-3.44%), Blue Star Ltd. (Rs. 1995.40,-2.21%), Whirlpool of India Ltd. (Rs. 1085.75,-2.05%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3879 , shares advanced were 1521 while 2155 shares declined and 203 were unchanged.
