Indices erased early gains; Nifty below 24320

The benchmark equity indices have erased all its early morning gains and are now trading lower by 12 points tracking muted cues from global markets as investors looked for signs of progress on the global trade front.



Meanwhile, In the broader markets, the Nifty Midcap 100 was ahead by 0.39 per cent, and the Nifty Smallcap 100 was higher by 0.43 per cent.



Among key stocks, shares of PNB Housing Finance were moving higher in trade on Tuesday after the company announced its Q4 results. PNB Housing Finance share price surged nearly 10 per cent to a high of ₹1,085.4 per share.



At 10:30 AM BSE SENSEX was at 80206.81 down by -11.56 points or by -0.01 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24319 down by -9.5 points or by -0.04 %. The BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 80661.31 and intraday low of 80122.02 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24457.65 and intraday low of 24290.75.



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1393.80,+1.85%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 231.45,+1.85%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1478.50,+1.15%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3365.40,+1.13%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 838.05,+0.92%), among others.



Whereas, the top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11902.65,-1.70%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 304.15,-1.46%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2371.50,-1.36%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1816.80,-1.36%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 425.20,-0.84%), among others.



Among sectors, BSE_CGS index was at 63494.34 up by 795.91 points or by 1.27%. Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 316.15,+3.59%), Bharat Dynamics Ltd. (Rs. 1526.85,+2.62%), Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (Rs. 4538.65,+2.54%), Honeywell Automation India Ltd. (Rs. 34630.00,+2.22%), Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. (Rs. 472.20,+1.94%).



On the flip side, FMCG index was at 20494.07 down by -81.71 points or by -0.4%. Hatsun Agro Products Ltd. (Rs. 891.45,-5.11%), AWL Agri Business Ltd. (Rs. 268.00,-3.98%), Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd. (Rs. 565.50,-1.81%), Cupid Ltd. (Rs. 75.61,-1.59%), Chaman Lal Setia Exports Ltd. (Rs. 323.95,-1.45%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3788 , shares advanced were 2023 while 1543 shares declined and 222 were unchanged.
