Sensex gains 184 pts, Nifty near 24,850 in broad rally

Stock markets continued to trade in a consolidation phase at higher levels on Friday, as investor sentiment improved following the U.S. statement that talks with Iran remain on the table and a decision on supporting Israel will be made within two weeks.



At 9:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 81546.61 up by 184.74 points or by 0.23 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24859.7 up by 66.45 points or by 0.27 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 81651.3 and intraday low of 81323.2 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24881.5 and intraday low of 24783.65



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3127.50,+1.15%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1893.20,+0.94%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 251.30,+0.78%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1657.00,+0.59%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1944.45,+0.50%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 890.80,-0.99%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2136.30,-0.42%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 834.35,-0.38%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1678.35,-0.27%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3495.20,-0.26%), among others.



Realty index was at 7759.74 up by 58.68 points or by 0.76%. Brigade Enterprises Ltd. (Rs. 1155.30,+1.90%), Macrotech Developers Ltd. (Rs. 1442.50,+1.32%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1900.05,+1.08%), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1692.65,+1.04%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2398.90,+0.79%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3042 , shares advanced were 1627 while 1275 shares declined and 140 were unchanged.
