D-St snaps 4-day rally; Sensex down 469 pts

Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty50 snapped their four-day winning streak on Monday, and fell to their day's lows after a muted trade in morning deals.



At 14:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83589.82 down by -469.08 points or by -0.56 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25491.9 down by -145.9 points or by -0.57 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 84099.53 and intraday low of 83482.13 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25669.35 and intraday low of 25473.3



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were State Bank of India (Rs. 820.40,+1.86%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 868.70,+1.28%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 264.45,+0.88%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3689.95,+0.68%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1685.00,+0.59%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1199.90,-2.06%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12391.05,-2.01%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2164.85,-1.95%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12060.00,-1.43%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1499.00,-1.12%), among others.



CGS index was at 72310.27 up by 761.49 points or by 1.06%. SKF India Ltd. (Rs. 4808.70,+4.16%), Kaynes Technology India Ltd. (Rs. 6102.00,+4.07%), Timken India Ltd. (Rs. 3484.85,+3.92%), Schaeffler India Ltd. (Rs. 4045.00,+3.76%), Bharat Dynamics Ltd. (Rs. 1937.00,+2.41%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4444 , shares advanced were 2400 while 1849 shares declined and 195 were unchanged.
