Mid-Session: Sensex down 144 pts, Nifty at 25,350

Indian benchmark indices were trading in red during the noon trading session as investors remained cautious on the looming deadline to impose US President Donald Trump's tariffs.



At 12:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83094.86 down by -144.61 points or by -0.17 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25352.6 down by -52.7 points or by -0.21 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 83441.95 and intraday low of 83015.83 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25458.65 and intraday low of 25331.65



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 922.15,+1.26%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 262.60,+0.73%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1628.60,+0.65%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1992.30,+0.60%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2326.00,+0.60%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 162.90,-1.78%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 850.55,-1.38%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12625.00,-1.00%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3144.25,-0.96%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1660.40,-0.75%), among others.



Oil&Gas index was at 28201.65 up by 197.87 points or by 0.71%. Indraprastha Gas Ltd. (Rs. 227.40,+3.74%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 341.05,+2.96%), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 149.10,+0.88%), GAIL (India) Ltd. (Rs. 193.70,+0.55%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 245.00,+0.41%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4213 , shares advanced were 1993 while 1994 shares declined and 226 were unchanged.
