Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty closed higher on Friday after a highly volatile session, supported by buying in banking stocks and a rally in the US markets.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 83432.89 up by 193.42 points or by 0.23 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25461 up by 55.7 points or by 0.22 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 83477.86 and intraday low of 83015.83 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25470.25 and intraday low of 25331.65
