Mid-Session: Sensex down 236 points; NSE Nifty at 25389.45

Domestic bourses continued to trade lower during the noon trading session weighed down by selling in index heavyweights including Bharti Airtel Ltd. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.Infosys Ltd.Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. HCL Technologies Ltdamong others.



At 12:55 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83299.55 down by -236.53 points or by -0.28 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25389.45 down by -86.65 points or by -0.34 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 83742.28 and intraday low of 83151.65 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25524.05 and intraday low of 25357.2



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 850.20,+1.12%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12593.00,+1.00%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 949.00,+0.91%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 160.45,+0.91%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2037.40,+0.57%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1975.60,-2.10%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1591.65,-1.46%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1615.60,-1.12%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3145.45,-0.99%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1660.85,-0.79%), among others.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4180 , shares advanced were 1896 while 2078 shares declined and 206 were unchanged.
