Sensex down 294 points; TECK, IT stocks weigh

Domestic bourses continued to hover in red during the noon trading session weighed down by selling in TECk and IT stocks.



At 14:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83241.43 down by -294.65 points or by -0.35 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25408.3 down by -67.8 points or by -0.27 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 83742.28 and intraday low of 83151.65 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25524.05 and intraday low of 25357.1



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 853.90,+1.56%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12650.00,+1.45%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 161.05,+1.29%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2041.70,+0.78%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 947.20,+0.72%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1969.00,-2.43%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2459.00,-1.59%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1615.00,-1.16%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1598.00,-1.06%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2405.25,-0.90%), among others.



Realty index was at 7568.03 up by 48.72 points or by 0.65%. Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1693.70,+2.69%), Anant Raj Ltd. (Rs. 555.40,+1.46%), Signatureglobal (India) Ltd. (Rs. 1263.70,+1.31%), Lodha Developers Ltd. (Rs. 1407.20,+1.15%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1846.00,+0.72%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4317 , shares advanced were 2016 while 2129 shares declined and 172 were unchanged.
