Markets trade lower; M&M, ICICI Bank top losers

Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty were trading lower on Thursday amid selling pressure, with investors remaining in a wait-and-watch mode, as hopes are pinned on a favourable outcome from the US-India trade talks.



At 10:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82434.03 down by -200.45 points or by -0.24 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25160.1 down by -51.95 points or by -0.21 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 82757.09 and intraday low of 82428.47 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25238.35 and intraday low of 25159.55



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were State Bank of India (Rs. 836.55,+0.60%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 682.50,+0.52%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3210.00,+0.46%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1708.30,+0.44%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12501.00,+0.38%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1581.00,-1.68%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1410.65,-1.01%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 259.85,-0.93%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1594.40,-0.88%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 873.65,-0.61%), among others.



Realty index was at 7734.03 up by 52.41 points or by 0.68%. Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1748.80,+1.73%), Phoenix Mills Ltd. (Rs. 1505.80,+1.56%), Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 1672.90,+1.37%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2310.00,+0.90%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1828.00,+0.68%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3867 , shares advanced were 2168 while 1452 shares declined and 247 were unchanged.
