Mid-Session: Sensex plunges 151 points; NSE Nifty at 25193.55

Stock markets in India were trading lower during the noon trading session weighed down by selling in index heavyweights including Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Infosys Ltd. IndusInd Bank Ltd.Axis Bank Ltd.and Eternal Ltd. among others.



At 12:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82483.11 down by -151.37 points or by -0.18 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25193.55 down by -18.5 points or by -0.07 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 82757.09 and intraday low of 82403.29 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25238.35 and intraday low of 25144



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3448.00,+0.93%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 158.75,+0.92%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 685.20,+0.91%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1712.05,+0.66%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12500.00,+0.37%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1569.00,-2.42%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 865.90,-1.50%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1591.50,-1.06%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1160.40,-0.63%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 260.75,-0.59%), among others.



Realty index was at 7767.83 up by 86.21 points or by 1.12%. Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1769.80,+2.95%), Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 1684.90,+2.09%), Brigade Enterprises Ltd. (Rs. 1135.70,+1.90%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2328.80,+1.72%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1840.00,+1.34%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4204 , shares advanced were 2164 while 1829 shares declined and 211 were unchanged.
