Sensex down 300 points; IT, TECK stocks weigh

Indian benchmark indices continued to trade lower during the noon trading session weighed down by selling in index heavyweights including Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. IndusInd Bank Ltd, Infosys Ltd.HCL Technologies Ltd. Larsen & Toubro Ltd.among others.



At 14:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82328.39 down by -306.09 points or by -0.37 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25133.85 down by -78.2 points or by -0.31 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 82757.09 and intraday low of 82303.65 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25238.35 and intraday low of 25133



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 159.85,+1.62%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3436.50,+0.60%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12518.00,+0.52%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 681.15,+0.32%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1705.00,+0.24%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1568.40,-2.46%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 867.50,-1.31%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1587.60,-1.31%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1547.00,-1.01%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3470.00,-0.91%), among others.



Realty index was at 7756.65 up by 75.03 points or by 0.98%. Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1769.30,+2.92%), Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 1690.60,+2.44%), Brigade Enterprises Ltd. (Rs. 1133.00,+1.66%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2327.10,+1.65%), Phoenix Mills Ltd. (Rs. 1500.00,+1.17%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4319 , shares advanced were 2041 while 2098 shares declined and 180 were unchanged.
