Stock markets in red dragged down by Bajaj Finance, foreign fund outflows

Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty continued to trade lower on Friday dragged down by Bajaj Finance and persistent foreign fund outflows.



At 10:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 81621.8 down by -562.37 points or by -0.68 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24867.1 down by -195 points or by -0.78 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 82069.51 and intraday low of 81539.97 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25010.35 and intraday low of 24853.9



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1944.10,+0.39%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1694.70,+0.15%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3152.00,+0.06%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1942.55,-4.40%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 917.10,-4.37%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 292.95,-2.11%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 307.20,-1.66%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 833.55,-1.62%), among others.



HCS index was at 45162.26 up by -84.67 points or by -0.19%. Vimta Labs Ltd. (Rs. 524.70,+3.75%), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (Rs. 3571.45,+1.58%), Pfizer Ltd. (Rs. 5363.00,+1.39%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. (Rs. 1280.25,+1.22%), Syngene International Ltd. (Rs. 675.00,+0.84%),.



Power index was at 6763.34 down by -106.17 points or by -1.55%. Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (Rs. 244.85,-2.41%), JSW Energy Ltd. (Rs. 520.50,-2.19%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 292.95,-2.11%), Suzlon Energy Ltd. (Rs. 63.94,-2.10%), Adani Green Energy Ltd. (Rs. 1004.00,-1.64%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3895 , shares advanced were 1130 while 2572 shares declined and 193 were unchanged.
