Shares of Moser Baer rose nearly 5 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after winning contracts in rooftop solar panel installation scheme in states of Kerela, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan. With these contracts, Moser Baer Solar has emerged as the lead player in the state run programs for rooftop solar installation, according to company's report to BSE.
The shares of company rose as much as 4.78 per cent to trade at Rs 9.65 a piece on the BSE.
In a similar fashion, shares of the company rose 4.32 per cent to Rs 9.65 a piece on National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 28,223.27, up 45.39 points or 0.16 per cent at 11.05 hours.
