Shares of Punj Lloyd rose over 5 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after the company said it has secured Rs 666 crore Asian highway contract from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. “The company has secured EPC highway contract worth Rs 666 crore from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways for 90.586 kilometers of the Asian Highway network,” Punj Lloyd said in statement.
The shares of company rose as much as 5.10 per cent to trade at Rs 40.20 a piece on the BSE.
In a similar fashion, shares of the company rose 5.08 per cent to Rs 40.30 a piece on National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 28,223.27, up 45.39 points or 0.16 per cent at 11.05 hours.
