Shares of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) rose over 4 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after reports suggested that the telecom operator has raised Rs 1,500 crore by selling 10-year bonds at 8.41 per cent annualized rate
The shares of company rose as much as 4.28 per cent to trade at Rs 29.25 a piece on the BSE.
In a similar fashion, shares of the company rose 4.09 per cent to Rs 29.25 a piece on National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 28,223.27, up 45.39 points or 0.16 per cent at 11.05 hours.
