ICICI Securities ties up with TCS to modernize retail trading platform

ICICI Securities has partnered with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to upgrade its retail trading and brokerage platform, aiming to enhance agility, performance, and customer experience in India’s fast-evolving capital markets. This strategic collaboration brings together ICICI Securities' market leadership with TCS’s technological expertise to create a future-ready trading ecosystem.

As part of the initiative, TCS will implement its TCS BaNCS™ trading solution—recognized as a market leader in India’s brokerage segment. This platform upgrade is expected to deliver a robust, cloud-ready, and scalable trading environment that caters to the dynamic needs of investors.

Through this upgrade, ICICI Securities will strengthen key brokerage operations including order management, exchange connectivity (with BSE, NSE, and MCX), online risk management, clearing and settlement, corporate actions, customer engagement, and contract processing.

R Vivekanand, President of BFSI Products & Platforms at TCS, said, “This partnership with ICICI Securities expands our leadership in the capital markets domain. Our trading solution will empower the company with high performance, seamless exchange integration, and cloud scalability—future-proofing their operations in one of the world’s most dynamic financial markets.”

Echoing this sentiment, T.K. Srirang, MD & CEO of ICICI Securities, stated, “Technology has always been at the heart of ICICI Securities. By integrating TCS BaNCS™, we’re equipping our customers with a powerful, intuitive, and high-performance trading platform. We’re excited to work with TCS to deliver an elevated experience and reinforce our leadership in the brokerage sector.”

TCS brings over 25 years of expertise in capital markets and currently powers nearly 30% of India’s retail trading volumes. Its trading solutions support more than 30 financial institutions in India and extend to over 25 markets globally, including key stock exchanges and depositories across equities, derivatives, and commodities.

With a legacy spanning five decades, TCS has played a pivotal role in India’s digital transformation—enabling key infrastructure across sectors such as stock trading, passport services, health insurance, pension management, and public service delivery. This collaboration with ICICI Securities is yet another step toward reshaping the future of digital financial services in India.
