GAIL (India) Q4 net profit down 5.88% at Rs 2049.03 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 2,049.03 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2025 as compared to Rs 2176.97 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 5.88 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 10.42 per cent at Rs 35,685.21 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 32,317.72 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 12.90 per cent to Rs 32,468.84 crore from Rs 28,759.88 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 11.16 per cent at Rs 566.42 crore versus (Mar'24 Rs 637.60 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 9.60 per cent to Rs 3,216.37 crore as against Rs 3,557.84 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 18.17 per cent in March quarter.

Interest declined by 7.69 per cent y-o-y to Rs 178.32 crore, while Taxation decreased by 1.92 per cent at Rs 652.04 crore (Mar'24 Rs 664.79 crore).
