Afcons Infrastructure Ltd, the flagship infrastructure engineering and construction company of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, has announced key leadership changes approved by its Board of Directors.
Shapoorji Mistry, who has been associated with Afcons for over 25 years, including more than 13 years as Chairman, has been elevated to the honorary role of Chairman Emeritus. In this non-board capacity, he will continue to provide guidance, mentorship, and strategic counsel to the company’s management. Under his leadership, Afcons’ turnover grew nearly fivefold to ?13,023 crore between FY2012 and FY2025, EBITDA rose at a CAGR of 14.5%, and the order book expanded more than fivefold to ?36,869 crore.
Krishnamurthy Subramanian, currently Executive Vice Chairman, has been promoted to Executive Chairman. Having been with Afcons for over 22 years, Subramanian has played a pivotal role in transforming the company into a globally recognized infrastructure player, overseeing landmark projects such as the Chenab Railway Bridge in J&K, the Atal Tunnel in Himachal Pradesh, India’s first underwater metro tunnel in Kolkata, Sohar Jetty in Oman, and the New Owendo International Port in Gabon.
The Board also inducted Pallon S Mistry, representing the next generation of the Shapoorji Pallonji family, as a Director on Afcons’ Board. His induction is expected to strengthen alignment between Afcons’ long-term growth strategy and the Shapoorji Pallonji Group’s vision, while retaining the professional independence of Afcons’ leadership team.
