Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will visit the UAE on 18–19 September 2025 to co-chair the 13th India-UAE High Level Joint Task Force on Investments (HLJTFI) with His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
The visit will focus on reviewing progress under the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), the Double Taxation Treaty and UAE-India Central Bank cooperation, as well as exploring new investment opportunities in sectors such as maritime and space.
Shri Goyal will also co-chair the UAE-India Business Council roundtable with UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, interact with top CEOs, and hold bilateral meetings with senior UAE leaders including H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan and key private-sector stakeholders.
The HLJTFI, established in 2013, has been instrumental in boosting bilateral trade and investment, with CEPA almost doubling merchandise trade between the two nations since its implementation in 2022.
