L&T secures Ultra-Mega Order for Hydrocarbon Onshore Project in the Middle East

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced that its Hydrocarbon Onshore business (L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore) has bagged an ultra-mega order to set up a Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) plant and allied facilities in the Middle East.

The project has been awarded to L&T in consortium with Consolidated Contractors Group S.A.L. (Offshore) (CCC), headquartered in Greece. The scope of work includes engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of the NGL plant for processing Rich Associated Gas (RAG), along with utilities, offsite systems, and integration with existing facilities.

Under the partnership, L&T, as the lead partner, will oversee engineering and procurement, while CCC will handle construction activities. The facility will treat RAG sourced from both offshore and onshore oil fields to remove impurities such as H2S, CO2, and H2O, producing lean sales gas, ethane, propane, butane, and hydrocarbon condensate.

Commenting on the development, S.N. Subrahmanyan, Chairman & Managing Director, L&T, said, “This ultra-mega order reinforces L&T’s position as a trusted partner in executing large-scale energy infrastructure projects globally. It highlights our capability to deliver complex projects in collaboration with leading international players like CCC.”

Subramanian Sarma, Deputy Managing Director & President, L&T, added, “This project goes beyond scale, focusing on advanced engineering, reliability, and complex brownfield integration to deliver long-term value. It enhances L&T’s role in strengthening global energy security and deepens our partnerships with leading oil and gas companies.”

L&T’s Hydrocarbon Onshore division is among India’s largest EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) players, offering end-to-end turnkey solutions across the upstream, midstream, and downstream hydrocarbon sectors. The company has an extensive track record in delivering refinery expansions, petrochemical complexes, gas processing plants, fertilizer units, LNG terminals, and cross-country pipelines across multiple geographies.
