The All-India House Price Index (HPI), based on transaction-level data from 18 major cities, rose 3.6% year-on-year in the first quarter of FY2025-26, according to data released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Thursday.
The HPI, compiled quarterly by the RBI, uses transaction-level data from registration authorities. The latest release adopts a new base year of 2022-23, replacing the earlier base year of 2010-11.
