Coal India Q2 net profit zooms 101.79% at Rs 8342.12 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 8,342.12 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025 as compared to Rs 4133.97 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 101.79 per cent.

Net revenue of the company declined substantially by 91.92 per cent at Rs 25.44 crore in July-September quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 315.02 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During July-September quarter, operating expenses increased by 16.15 per cent to Rs 214.80 crore from Rs 184.94 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 109.83 per cent at Rs 8,311.37 crore versus (Sep'24 Rs 3,961.03 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 37.51 per cent to Rs 81.29 crore as against Rs 130.08 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 673.89 per cent in September quarter.

Interest grew by 2113.64 per cent y-o-y to Rs 14.61 crore, while Taxation increased by 144.70 per cent at Rs 24.60 crore (Sep'24 Rs -55.03 crore).
