Vedanta Q2 net profit down 79.20% at Rs 2195.00 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 2,195.00 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025 as compared to Rs 10553.00 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 79.20 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 7.96 per cent at Rs 19,436.00 crore in July-September quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 18,003.00 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During July-September quarter, operating expenses increased by 10.42 per cent to Rs 16,082.00 crore from Rs 14,564.00 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 82.46 per cent at Rs 1,221.00 crore versus (Sep'24 Rs 6,963.00 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 4.89 per cent to Rs 3,906.00 crore as against Rs 3,724.00 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 2.85 per cent in September quarter.

Interest declined by 14.86 per cent y-o-y to Rs 1,381.00 crore, while Taxation decreased by 12.52 per cent at Rs 510.00 crore (Sep'24 Rs 583.00 crore).
