Tata Power Co. Q2 net profit down 57.26% at Rs 431.10 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 431.10 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025 as compared to Rs 1008.61 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 57.26 per cent.

Net revenue of the company declined substantially by 46.31 per cent at Rs 2,625.01 crore in July-September quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 4,889.44 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During July-September quarter, operating expenses dropped by 41.92 per cent to Rs 1,988.74 crore from Rs 3,424.35 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 4.69 per cent at Rs 770.26 crore versus (Sep'24 Rs 808.15 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 56.57 per cent to Rs 636.27 crore as against Rs 1,465.09 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 19.09 per cent in September quarter.

Interest declined by 8.31 per cent y-o-y to Rs 481.82 crore, while Taxation decreased by 19.22 per cent at Rs 150.84 crore (Sep'24 Rs 186.72 crore).
