Electrosteel Cas posts Q3 net loss of Rs 20.01 cr

The company reported standalone net loss during the quarter stood at Rs 20.01 crore compared to net profit of Rs 157.14 crore in the previous year quarter.ÿ

Net revenue of the company declined substantially by 25.04 per cent at Rs 1,241.57 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,656.24 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During October-December quarter, operating expenses dropped by 13.27 per cent to Rs 1,207.79 crore from Rs 1,392.57 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 202.23 per cent at Rs 48.75 crore versus (Dec'24 Rs 16.13 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 87.19 per cent to Rs 33.78 crore as against Rs 263.67 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 82.91 per cent in December quarter.

Interest declined by 18.08 per cent y-o-y to Rs 32.71 crore, while Taxation decreased by 112.67 per cent at Rs -6.29 crore (Dec'24 Rs 49.63 crore).
