Aarti Industries bags USD 150 mn Medium-Term Supply contract with Global Agrochemical Company

Aarti Industries Limited (AIL), a leading global manufacturer of specialty chemicals, has signed a multi-year supply agreement with a major global agrochemical innovator for supplying a key agrochemical intermediate used in crop protection products.

Under the agreement, the existing annual engagement between the companies will transition into a structured supply contract running until March 31, 2030, with a notable increase in supply volumes. The deal is expected to generate around USD 150 million in revenue for Aarti Industries over the contract period, providing improved revenue visibility over the medium to long term.

As part of the contract, Aarti Industries will manufacture and supply the intermediate using its integrated and scalable manufacturing capabilities, supported by strong process chemistry expertise and a robust global regulatory compliance framework. The company currently has sufficient production capacity to meet the requirements of this contract, allowing it to increase capacity utilization without requiring additional capital expenditure.

The supplied intermediate will be used by the customer in the production and formulation of crop protection products for agricultural markets worldwide.

This partnership further strengthens Aarti Industries’ position as a reliable strategic partner for global agrochemical innovators and enhances its participation in high-value, long-term specialty chemical supply chains. By leveraging its strong process development capabilities and manufacturing infrastructure, the company continues to support the global agricultural ecosystem.

The agreement also highlights India’s growing role as a global manufacturing hub for specialty chemicals. It aligns with the government’s Make in India initiative while enabling multinational companies to build more resilient supply chains, diversify sourcing, and reduce geopolitical risks.

Commenting on the development, Suyog Kotecha, CEO of Aarti Industries Limited, stated that the agreement reinforces the company’s position as a trusted partner for global agrochemical innovators. He noted that Aarti’s strength lies in its deep process chemistry expertise, integrated manufacturing value chains, and ability to deliver reliable and scalable supply solutions. The contract also enhances the company’s long-term earnings visibility and reflects its continued progress in strengthening its specialty chemicals portfolio through high-value strategic partnerships.
