AESL commissions 1,000 MW transmission link in Mumbai

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) on Tuesday announced that its subsidiary, Adani Electricity Mumbai Infrastructure Ltd (AEMIL), has operationalised a 1,000 MW power transmission link connecting Kudus and Aarey in Mumbai.

The high-voltage direct current (HVDC) project includes a 30-km overhead line along with a 50-km underground cable network, specifically designed to function efficiently within the challenges of a densely populated urban setting.

The project also incorporates the world’s first compact HVDC substation, marking a significant advancement in power transmission infrastructure.
