Audi stated that it expects to sell more cars in India than it does in Japan by 2025 as there is lot of prospects in Indian market and they would continue to invest here and explore the business opportunities.
However, they expect to sell more Audis in India than in Japan by 2025 at around 20,000 units annually while n 2009, Audi sold 15,000 units in Japan, while in India it sold only 1,658 units.
The company may consider assembling more models in India than it does currently, in order to meet its target while currently, Audi assembles sedan A4 and A6 at the facility of its group company Skoda in Aurangabad.
Meanwhile, they have a whole range of models from A1 to A8, which can be brought anytime in India if there is a demand while Audi is expecting to sell 2,300 units this year, which will be up about 40% from last year.
On the other hand, the company introduced its diesel SUV Q7 powered by 4.2 litre engine, besides showcasing a five-door model, Audi Sportback concept.
