Sensex up 50 pts at 81,580; Nifty at 24,650; IT leads, Bank, Auto weigh

Benchmark Indian equity indices BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 dragged at market open on Thursday.



At 9:50 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 81580.11 up by 53.97 points or by 0.07 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24650.2 up by 8.4 points or by 0.03 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 81680.97 and intraday low of 81444.92 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24675.25 and intraday low of 24604.45



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1799.20,+2.20%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 4480.00,+1.18%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1990.00,+1.08%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1946.35,+0.84%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1598.35,+0.79%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 790.15,-1.11%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3437.50,-0.99%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 362.60,-0.81%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3891.90,-0.62%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 11214.65,-0.60%), among others.



IT index was at 45643.4 up by 503.28 points or by 1.11%. Ksolves India Ltd. (Rs. 1032.95,+6.57%), Persistent Systems Ltd. (Rs. 6498.35,+2.54%), Onward Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 350.65,+2.53%), Coforge Ltd. (Rs. 9220.00,+2.45%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1799.20,+2.20%),.
