Sensex down 190 points; NSE Nifty at 24560.35

Domestic bourses continued to hover in red during the noon trading session weighed down by selling in index heavyweights including Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, IndusInd Bank Ltd.Bajaj Finance Ltd. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.and Infosys Ltd among others.



At 14:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 80519.74 down by -190.51 points or by -0.24 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24560.35 down by -89.2 points or by -0.36 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 80834.43 and intraday low of 80448.82 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24671.4 and intraday low of 24539.2



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2492.20,+2.23%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1367.25,+0.71%), State Bank of India (Rs. 804.55,+0.48%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3221.15,+0.34%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1981.90,+0.27%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1599.00,-2.03%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 802.70,-2.01%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 876.45,-1.68%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1462.95,-1.50%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1438.00,-1.49%), among others.



Bankex index was at 61628.46 up by 8 points or by 0.01%. Canara Bank (Rs. 108.80,+1.26%), Bank of Baroda (Rs. 242.20,+0.64%), State Bank of India (Rs. 804.80,+0.51%), Federal Bank Ltd. (Rs. 196.95,+0.51%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1981.80,+0.26%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4360 , shares advanced were 1416 while 2756 shares declined and 188 were unchanged.
