Sensex down 117 points; NSE Nifty at 24452.45

Indian equities remained jittery on Friday as investor caution persisted on Dalal Street over US tariff concerns.

RIL Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani addresses the shareholders at the AGM.



Mukesh Ambani said that the company's FY26 consolidated revenue came in at Rs 10.71 trillion, Ebitda stood at Rs 1.83 trillion and profit at Rs 81,309 crore.



He added: JIO surpassed 500 million customers, more than the US, UK, and France populations combined. JIO IPO planned for H1 2026.



At 14:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 79963.14 down by -117.43 points or by -0.15 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24452.45 down by -48.45 points or by -0.2 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 80310.74 and intraday low of 79856.04 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24572.45 and intraday low of 24441.85



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were ITC Ltd. (Rs. 410.20,+2.37%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2525.65,+1.38%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3604.00,+1.24%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12644.85,+0.96%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1962.85,+0.86%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3211.75,-2.55%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1470.35,-1.98%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1365.00,-1.63%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 327.40,-1.07%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 739.80,-0.93%), among others.



FMCG index was at 20648.31 up by 222.04 points or by 1.09%. Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. (Rs. 2335.55,+3.26%), Godfrey Phillips India Ltd. (Rs. 10915.00,+3.01%), United Spirits Ltd. (Rs. 1314.60,+2.64%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 410.20,+2.37%), Marico Ltd. (Rs. 726.65,+2.13%),.



Realty index was at 6776.47 down by -79.21 points or by -1.16%. Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 1435.50,-3.03%), Brigade Enterprises Ltd. (Rs. 924.90,-2.97%), Signatureglobal (India) Ltd. (Rs. 1078.80,-2.17%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1950.30,-1.62%), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1561.35,-1.20%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4348 , shares advanced were 2038 while 2130 shares declined and 180 were unchanged.
