Mid-Session: Sensex, Nifty trade flat; IT stocks drag, realty rises

Indian benchmark equity indices traded cautiously with little movement on Monday.



At 12:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 81935.01 up by 30.31 points or by 0.04 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25105.9 down by -8.1 points or by -0.03 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 81998.51 and intraday low of 81779.82 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25138.45 and intraday low of 25064.65



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1016.40,+1.32%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 324.30,+0.89%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1425.90,+0.59%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3599.90,+0.57%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1398.05,+0.38%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2510.55,-1.32%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3546.70,-1.19%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3535.75,-0.99%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1512.45,-0.86%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3108.95,-0.80%), among others.



Realty index was at 6982.71 up by 114.18 points or by 1.66%. Anant Raj Ltd. (Rs. 583.75,+9.45%), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1581.00,+2.08%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 770.15,+1.58%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1624.55,+1.42%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2026.00,+1.41%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4402 , shares advanced were 2370 while 1819 shares declined and 213 were unchanged.
