Mid-Session: Benchmarks at day's low, Nifty at 25,100

Indian benchmark indices were trading lower as investors weighed global uncertainties from US-China trade policies alongside corporate earnings from India Inc.



At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 81856.14 down by -470.91 points or by -0.57 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25104.7 down by -122.65 points or by -0.49 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 82573.37 and intraday low of 81781.62 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25310.35 and intraday low of 25084.55



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1469.50,+1.28%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1503.20,+0.57%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2498.85,+0.26%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 286.55,+0.05%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 407.95,-38.27%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1014.00,-2.24%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 745.80,-1.81%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 169.85,-1.79%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1170.10,-1.63%), among others.



IT index was at 34571.93 up by -99.99 points or by -0.29%. C.E. Info Systems Ltd. (Rs. 1878.30,+5.14%), Genesys International Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 479.30,+2.54%), BLS E-Services Ltd. (Rs. 171.45,+2.36%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1469.50,+1.28%), Wipro Ltd. (Rs. 247.85,+1.14%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4312 , shares advanced were 1279 while 2855 shares declined and 178 were unchanged.
