Sensex, Nifty in red; small-cap index down 1%

Indian benchmark indices were trading lower during the late noon trading session weighed down by selling in index heavyweights including Tata Motors Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services LtdIndusInd Bank Ltd.Axis Bank Ltd.among others.



At 14:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading session 82149.56 down by -177.49 points or by -0.22 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25145.3 down by -82.05 points or by -0.33 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 82573.37 and intraday low of 81781.62 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25310.35 and intraday low of 25060.55



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1471.10,+1.39%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1504.35,+0.65%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2505.00,+0.51%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1384.60,+0.40%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2159.00,+0.32%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 398.70,-39.67%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1018.50,-1.81%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2966.35,-1.36%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 750.10,-1.24%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1174.90,-1.22%), among others.
