Nifty, Sensex hit 3-month high; Nestle hits 52-week high

Equity markets extended gains on Thursday, supported by stock-specific moves amid the ongoing Q2 earnings season.

At 14:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83441.95 up by 836.52 points or by 1.01 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25551.85 up by 228.3 points or by 0.9 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 83486.46 and intraday low of 82791.35 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25577.05 and intraday low of 25376.85



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1272.45,+4.17%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2210.35,+2.87%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3645.30,+2.71%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1195.00,+2.22%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1478.25,+1.90%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 351.35,-0.90%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1471.40,-0.17%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 739.80,-0.08%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2967.85,-0.04%), among others.



Realty index was at 7239.94 up by 128.83 points or by 1.81%. Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1678.00,+4.81%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2196.05,+2.86%), Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 1534.00,+1.72%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 769.00,+1.71%), Lodha Developers Ltd. (Rs. 1192.00,+1.69%),.



PSU index was at 20080.47 down by 39.54 points or by 0.2%. KIOCL Ltd. (Rs. 458.00,-4.35%), Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 739.40,-2.48%), Bank of Maharashtra (Rs. 57.94,-2.29%), Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd. (Rs. 378.00,-2.11%), Oil India Ltd. (Rs. 415.25,-1.75%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4424 , shares advanced were 2479 while 1769 shares declined and 176 were unchanged.
