Indian equity benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, witnessed a sharp rally on Thursday, October 16, 2025, rising over a per cent each, following positive global and domestic market cues.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 83467.66 up by 862.23 points or by 1.04 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25585.3 up by 261.75 points or by 1.03 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 83615.48 and intraday low of 82791.35 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25625.4 and intraday low of 25376.85
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1276.55,+4.50%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2206.00,+2.67%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3642.45,+2.63%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1196.25,+2.33%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1479.35,+1.97%), among others.
