Mid-Session: Sensex up 525 pts; Nifty above 25,850; SMIDs gain

Indian stock markets continued to trade higher on the occasion of Diwali 2025.



At 12:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 84477.81 up by 525.62 points or by 0.63 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25868.7 up by 158.85 points or by 0.62 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 84656.56 and intraday low of 84239.7 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25926.2 and intraday low of 25788.5



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1470.00,+3.74%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2144.95,+2.98%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1229.70,+2.46%), State Bank of India (Rs. 908.20,+2.12%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 2052.70,+2.03%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1401.70,-2.44%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 338.15,-1.33%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3614.00,-0.94%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 171.40,-0.49%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 288.25,-0.48%), among others.



TECk index was at 17444.6 up by 239.74 points or by 1.39%. Indus Towers Ltd. (Rs. 353.55,+3.09%), PVR INOX Ltd. (Rs. 1121.20,+2.71%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 2052.70,+2.03%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3012.10,+1.67%), Persistent Systems Ltd. (Rs. 5837.60,+1.42%),.
