Mid-Session: Sensex, Nifty flat; Eternal, Bajaj Finance, HCL Tech weigh

Domestic bourses continued to trade flat with positive bias during the noon trading session.



At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83466.07 up by 6.92 points or by 0.01 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25562.4 down by -35.25 points or by -0.14 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 83846.35 and intraday low of 83357.93 The NSE Nifty touched intrady high of 25679.15 and intraday low of 25520.75



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2610.00,+4.96%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3643.30,+1.72%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1493.35,+1.46%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11950.00,+1.14%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3016.60,+0.90%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 270.85,-2.92%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 305.25,-2.62%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 325.55,-1.56%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 176.70,-1.42%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1317.60,-1.42%), among others.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4354 , shares advanced were 1245 while 2918 shares declined and 191 were unchanged.
