Markets surge on firm global cues, India-US trade deal optimism

Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty continued to trade higher on Wednesday driven by buying in blue-chips Reliance Industries, Infosys and Bharti Airtel amid firm global cues.



At 10:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 84388.04 up by 516.72 points or by 0.62 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25835.15 up by 140.2 points or by 0.55 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 84462.17 and intraday low of 84166.75 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25864.45 and intraday low of 25781.15



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 330.00,+26.00%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 848.40,+2.73%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1441.45,+2.31%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1503.00,+1.95%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3106.30,+1.91%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. (Rs. 405.40,-0.52%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 15580.45,-0.37%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3742.05,-0.24%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2082.30,-0.24%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2423.10,-0.24%), among others.



IT index was at 35886.26 up by 544.61 points or by 1.54%. 63 Moons Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 784.70,+8.78%), BLS E-Services Ltd. (Rs. 206.75,+3.84%), Sonata Software Ltd. (Rs. 386.50,+3.84%), Magellanic Cloud Ltd. (Rs. 60.33,+3.32%), RateGain Travel Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 679.85,+3.12%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3996 , shares advanced were 2408 while 1367 shares declined and 221 were unchanged.
