Mid-Session: Sensex surges 733 points; Tata Motors up 23%

Indian benchmark indices continued to trade higher during the noon trading session supported by buying in index heavyweights including Tata Motors Ltd, IndusInd Bank Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.among others.



At 12:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 84605.23 up by 733.91 points or by 0.88 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25901.95 up by 207 points or by 0.81 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 84630.32 and intraday low of 84166.75 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25924.3 and intraday low of 25781.15



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 322.40,+23.10%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 864.00,+4.62%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1452.45,+3.09%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3121.60,+2.41%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1507.50,+2.26%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 179.15,-1.02%), Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. (Rs. 404.50,-0.74%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2422.65,-0.26%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2085.45,-0.09%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3951.20,-0.05%), among others.



IT index was at 36025.03 up by 683.38 points or by 1.93%. 63 Moons Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 763.50,+5.84%), BLS E-Services Ltd. (Rs. 209.10,+5.02%), Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services Ltd. (Rs. 391.20,+4.42%), Ramco Systems Ltd. (Rs. 607.20,+3.76%), Birlasoft Ltd. (Rs. 396.35,+3.62%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4356 , shares advanced were 2553 while 1599 shares declined and 204 were unchanged.
